As a fun start, enjoy a sampling of 6 "Te Veo" ("I see you") pieces that are part of an on-going series created after first painting a representational still life.
The next 2 pieces are part of a similar series using a still life of items special to me.
As you continue to view my work know that each takes me back to a specific time and place where I either first imagined the image, or, more likely, where I observed, sketched, then took in colors and shapes while endeavoring to create in paint what I saw and felt.
Mementos, the Sierras, the Santa Cruz Coastal Redwoods, the marvelous Monterey Bay, Hawaii, Kauai...all of these are altars in the world where I can sit and reflect on the beauty and power of amazing relationships and of the precious Earth.
